Singer Eduardo Costa, 46, surprised the audience by emerging bald during a show held last weekend in Lavras, Minas Gerais. The new look generated speculation on social networks, and on Monday (19), the countryman revealed that he recently underwent a hair transplant due to the hair loss caused, he said, by the use of anabolic steroids.

He explained what motivated the procedure: “My hair was very thin, because I used a lot of bomb in the past. I used a lot of anabolic steroids. Added to that, came the stress of the pandemic, and my hair fell, getting thin,” said the singer.

Eduardo Costa also admitted that he had been thinking of doing the hair implant for some time “had little hair at the top of his head and was already entry.

He complained about the postoperative period of the hair transplant and did not hide the discomfort he faced in the early days. “The first three days are very difficult. To sleep is very bad, you have to sleep practically sitting,” he told in an interview with the sertanejo concept channel.

The singer also said that he already expected to impact the new look: “I knew it was going to scare people when I closed on the bald stage,” he joked. “Even I took a little while to get used to me, imagine the audience.”

Finally, Eduardo countered criticism of the new look and stressed that his focus is still the song: “I’m not there to sell image. I’m there to make music. I’m not worried about my image, if I’m ugly or beautiful.”
