Carol Castro spoke about Virginia’s choice for the Greater Rio drum queen.

On social networks, the actress, who was Queen of Salgueiro between 2005 and 2006, said that “this cannot continue”. She commented on a post that pointed to the inconsistency between the influencer, who was interrogated from the Bets CPI for promoting gambling, and the school’s plot in 2026 on the Pernambuco Manguebeat movement.

“In 2026, the plot of the Great Rio is about the Manguebeat movement, which emerged to denounce social inequalities and poverty. Then they put Virginia as drum queen. She, who was a week ago at the Bets CPI just because she deceives poor and making money on them,” said the post. “This can’t continue, right?” Carol commented.

Virginia was officially announced this Friday (22) by the Great Rio to succeed Paolla Oliveira in office. The influencer was in the school shed in the city of Samba and posed with the board and members of the association.

On the social networks of Grande Rio, fans of the school criticized the choice. “We don’t want Virginia as Queen. This woman is all wrong,” wrote a netizen. “We deserve a decent queen and at least know where Caxias is,” protested another follower. After the official announcement, the comments were limited.
