Billy Joel announced the cancellation of his upcoming concerts after revealing that he was fighting with a brain disease.
The 76 -year -old musician reported in a statement on Instagram on Friday that he was diagnosed with normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH).
According to his statement, recent concerts have exacerbated the symptoms, resulting in problems with hearing, vision and balance.

Joel is currently undergoing targeted physiotherapy, as prescribed by his doctor and has recommended him to abstain from shows during this recovery period, according to the announcement.
“I am honestly sorry for disappointing our audience and thank you for understanding”said Joel.
The legendary musician also expressed his gratitude for the care he received and thanked fans for their continued support.
