The money raised will contribute to the acceleration of diagnosis, improve therapies and providing top care to women who fight with cancer across Ireland, the Guardian said. Hospital Foundation Development Director, Roisin Duffy, underlined the importance of the action:
“The Foundation focuses on four main areas: medical equipment, hospital upgrade, research and innovation, as well as support of patients and families. This can mean, from the provision of small needs and medicines to the purchase of state -of -the -art mammography machinery. “
And adds: “We are incredibly excited to the women who gathered in Donabate. “Marilyn’s Mater Paddle” may be superficially looking like a simple, fun dip on Hollywood, but it’s much more. It is a dip with a purpose and every donation made, helps us support women on their journey with cancer at Mater Hospital. “
