See the trailer:

Antikythera is a calm place and almost untouched by time, it has few inhabitants and unique natural beauty. A hidden treasure for the traveler seeking authenticity. We know one by one its inhabitants, who tell us unique stories from their lives, but also the island’s president who does everything for his co -workers without time: he lifts phones, cleans roads, loads water, runs for doctors, medicines, for people …

On the other hand, this acrimonious place evolves into a scientific pole of international science. We are monitoring the work of creating a geosciences and climate change observatory, which will study climate change, research geophysical phenomena and develop early warning services.

We visit the Antikythera Ornithological Station, where the global phenomenon of bird migration is being monitored and studied, with the aim of protecting them.

An entire Kythira community was created in Australia in the early 19th century. We hear stories of immigration of Greeks who left Kythera but raised children and grandchildren with Greek language, Greek history and Greek traditions. Some have returned permanently, others remained in Australia and the summers come.

In terms of infrastructure, the inhabitants of Kythera complain about the 100 -meter bridge that connects the port with the island. It has suffered great damage and extensive erosion, with locals and visitors worrying and demanding to be repaired as soon as possible.
