In September 2024, for example, the actor had already made a similar visit to the University Hospital of Donostia, in San Sebastián, also in Spain, while participating in the city’s Film Festival. At the time, according to the local newspaper El Diario Vasco, Depp spent hours with patients from the wings of pediatrics and oncology, always characterized as the irreverent pirate.

Johnny Depp’s first gave Jack Sparrow life for the first time in “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Black Pearl Curse” (2003), alongside Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley. After that, he replaced the role in four more franchise feature films: “The Copy of Death” (2006), “At the End of the World” (2007), “Navigating Mysterious Waters” (2011) and “Salazar’s Revenge” (2017).

After the troubled lawsuit with his ex-wife Amber Heard in 2022, the actor has gradually resumed his career in the cinema. He starred in Jeanne Du Barry in 2023 and is currently dedicated to the filming of Day Drinker. As for the future of the Pirates of the Caribbean, producer Jerry Bruckheimer recently told Entertainment Weekly: “If it depended on me, [Johnny] would be in it “.
