In Kynouria there is still a unique language in the world, the Tsakonian. From Leonidio to the surrounding villages of Tsakonia, Tyros, Prastos, the Tsakones keep the flame of their culture alive.

A young woman in the picturesque tyros was repatriated from abroad to revive the Tsakonian textile, which has always been in her life since she was a child. But the fear that she may be lost in the future led her to the loom.

An open wound for Leonidio is the port of Plaka. A great bad weather in 2012 has caused serious damage, which still remain today. Despite the commitments for rehabilitation projects, nothing has been done yet, so the local community is financially influenced. The problem is the road that connects Leonidio with the village of Tsitalia, where landslides are a common occurrence.

Two people from different worlds left them all behind and met at Paralio Astros Kynouria for a new life near the sea. Antonia and Yiannis left California and Athens and found in and next to the water they love – canoeing, yoga and people who believe them.

A theatrical group in Korakovouni is culturally connecting the local population and the surrounding villages. Well -known actress Vana Rabota inspires and drives theatrical events here.
