Carol Castro reveals harassment and virtual persecution: ‘offered $ 10 million for one night’

Actress Carol Castro, 41, spoke openly about the episodes of harassment and persecution she has faced on social networks. Clarice’s interpreter in Globo’s soap opera “Girl of the Moment”, she reported situations ranging from offensive singing to serious threats, who needed police intervention.

“They already sent a message saying they would give $ 10 million to spend a night with me. I replied, ‘My love, take this money and donate, please.’ Despite the humorous tone with which it tries to face part of these messages, it does not minimize the severity of the most serious cases.

One of the scariest episodes, she said, involved a man who sent e-mails in boundary letters threatening to sequest it. “It was very heavy. The police tracked and managed to identify the perpetrator through the computer ID,” he said. Since then, Carol has been more cautious about what she shares on networks, especially when she is her daughter Nina, 7, the result of the relationship with violinist Felipe Prazeres.

She states that everything that involves her daughter is previously combined with her father. “I don’t force Nina to nothing. Everything I put is talked to Felipe. I preserve her space a lot and the privacy of our family,” he said.

Even with a team to help her manage her networks, Carol says she makes a point of maintaining direct contact with followers. “I like it, I answer. But when I enter the messaging box, I sometimes get scared. There’s something I’ll never forget,” he says. Still, try to deal with lightness. “I don’t like to put weight on it, I prefer to focus on good things.”

In addition to personal issues, the actress also uses her channels to position herself publicly. Without fear of addressing topics such as politics, feminism, environment and inequality, Carol has faced reprisals. “I already lost work because I positioned myself against a misfortune. At the time I felt strange, but I follow with quiet conscience. You can’t live for fear of criticism,” he says.

For her, silence is not an option. “We need to speak, denounce, question. As much as you are attacked, you can’t shut up. I prefer to sleep in peace with myself,” he concludes.
