Brad Pitt, 61, opened on his experience in Alcoholics Anonymous. In an interview with the podcast of also actor Dax Shepard, who was his colleague in the rehab group, the star spoke about the fight against dependence.

“I was on my knees, I was really open. I was trying everything that appeared to me,” said the protagonist of “F1: The Movie.” “It was a particularly difficult period. I needed a fresh start, I needed to wake up.”

The interviewer added, “You don’t get to AA when everything is wonderful.”

“Not really,” agreed Brad Pitt. “This is usually not the point of entry.”

Brad had already talked about alcohol addiction in 2019. In an interview with the New York Times, he revealed that he stopped drinking when he separated from Angelina Jolie in 2016.

“I had taken things too far away and so I ended my drink privilege. I’m stubborn to C*,” Brad said at the time.

“But when I saw the shit I was in, I took my responsibility. Now, it’s a matter of how to deal with all this and make sure it doesn’t happen again,” he continued in the podcast.

“Formula 1: The Movie” hits theaters next Friday (27).
