Andressa Urach, 37, has again caused a commotion on social networks by revealing that she is facing severe pain after undergoing aesthetic eye surgery in France.
In videos published on Wednesday (25), former Miss Bumbum vented to her followers and said she was regretful of the decision to definitely change the color of her eyes through the technique known as keratopigmentation.
“My eyes are hurting a lot, a lot. I’m practically regretful of having done. The pain is not just like, you have no idea. Arriving in Brazil, I will look for a doctor. Pray for me!” She said, visibly uncomfortable.
The surgery left the influencer’s eyes with greenish shade. At first Andressa had celebrated the result and even disclosed that the postoperative period followed as expected. On Tuesday (24), she even issued a press release saying she was recovering well. “I am following all medical guidelines. I use antibiotic and anti-inflammatory eye drops, I avoid strong light, weight and wind. I am also always with sunglasses with UV protection,” he said at the time.
However, the scenario changed rapidly and, in less than 24 hours, Andressa turned to networks to report discomfort and rethink her choice. The influencer, who also acts on the creation of adult content, made it clear that, despite the desire to change his appearance, he did not expect such intense physical consequences. Now, you want to consult a specialist in Brazil to evaluate damage and treat pain.
Andressa surgery, called keratopigmentation, is a relatively new and still controversial procedure. Popularly known as “corneal tattoo”, it consists of the application of micropigns on the outer layer of the eyes, promoting the altering of the original color permanently. Although it also has medical utility – as in cases of blemishes or opacities in the cornea – its aesthetic application divides opinions between eye health professionals.
The procedure requires strict postoperative care and, according to experts, may involve risks such as inflammation, light sensitivity and, in more severe cases, vision impairment. Therefore, it is not approved in all countries and should be done with extreme caution.
