They may have already married a political marriage in the United States, but Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez decided to celebrate it as one of the richest people in the world: with a glamorous, three-day wedding in Venice in Venice, worth $ 50 million.
On Friday night, the couple exchanged oaths on the idyllic island Jenner.
The ceremony began with a romantic execution of Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling in Love” by Matteo Bocelli, followed by Whitney Houston’s “Higher Love”, performed by a Gospel choir.
The kiss of the newlyweds was applauded by friends and relatives, who sealed the event with cheers.
The reception – expected to be just as impressive – was organized by the same wedding planners who curated the marriage of George and Amal Clooney.
Prior to the official ceremony, Bezos and former news presenter Sánchez gave a luxurious welcome party at Madonna Dell’orto, but was interrupted prematurely due to a storm.
Earlier there was a pre-wedding party at the luxurious Mega-Yacht of Bezos, Koru, worth $ 500 million.
According to Page Six, the couple made sure to, as a sign of gratitude for hospitality, donations to Venice Charities.
However, this did not prevent reactions after protesters flooded the city, shouting slogans that pointed out that if it is able to rent Venice for its marriage then it can pay more taxes.
Bezos made a marriage proposal to Sánchez in May 2023, on Koru. The couple have been together since 2019, but avoided public appearances until their divorces were finalized.
Sánchez has three children from previous relationships, while Bezos has four children with his ex -wife, Mackenzie Scott.
