The tumultuous life and mysterious disappearance of the author

Antoine de Sed-Experi was born in 1900 in Lyon, a noble family. His childhood was stigmatized by the loss of his father and brother, events that significantly influenced his biography and work. After failing to enter universities, he was trained as an engineer and later became a pilot, worker initially at Air France on postal flights to Africa.

The catalytic experience for him was when in 1935 he survived a plane accident in Sahara. There, he is said to have been inspired by many of the images and meanings of his work. In the coming period, St-EXPERIOU was awarded both as an aviator and as a writer, with numerous awards and awards.

During World War II, the author actively participated as a pilot. In July 1944, he mysteriously disappeared off Corsica during a mission. Many years later, it was investigated and almost proved that his plane was shot down by German Pilot Horst Ripet, who said regret: ‘I am deeply sorry for killing the respectable writer’. It is noteworthy that St. Esperi’s literature itself had also led Ripert to his career as a pilot.
