The lawyer and former BBB Gizelly Bicalho, 33, vented when talking about her old troubled relationship with body and food. In a series of videos published on her Instagram on Monday (30), she reflected on the extreme habits she adopted before participating in Big Brother Brazil 20-many of them inspired by influencers who dictated unrealistic beauty standards, she said.
“I already chewed food, I felt my taste and spit. Dying with shame, but it’s true. They told me once that if I wanted to eat a candy, it was just to do that. And I obeyed. I lived guilty, thinking I was never thin enough,” said the former sister, who today claims to have overcome this behavior. “At that time I was 55 kg and thought I needed to lose more. Today I am 62 kg and I’m happy with my body.”
Alongside a current photo, Gizelly made a point of reinforcing that her relationship with appearance has changed. “Before I followed who said ‘want to eat a hamburger? It gets naked in front of the mirror and see if it can.’ And I did. Unfortunately, at that time, even these people were sick and didn’t know,” he said.
The former reality show participant, nicknamed by “Hurricane” fans, also commented how image distortion affected her self-esteem and sight of herself. “I have beautiful photos that I never posted because I thought I was belly, ugly. My hair, my body… everything bothered me. Today, I see it was just my head that was not well,” he acknowledged.
Despite maintaining healthy habits, Gizelly explained that she began to face food and more lightly exercises. “Yesterday I ate hamburger. Today I went to train and I’m trying to feed well, because I like to live like that. But without guilt. No neuras.”
She also took the moment to criticize the romanticization of unreachable routines promoted on social networks. “I’ve been CLT, I woke up at 4am trying to follow the routine of these influencers, and never arrived in that body. Because they have a structure that you work every day, it doesn’t have. It’s unfair to compare.”
