“Where there is Greece” remains in Naxos today, Wednesday, July 2 at 14.45. Elambia Revi and George Kourdis come out of the beautiful village of Apeiranthos and present interesting themes and reports as well as beautiful human stories.

“The Infinite”, as the locals call their village with the distinct linguistic idiom, dominates Mount Fanari. Manolis Glezos, thanks to whom he was created – in memory of his brother – the largest Cyclades Library, was respected by the child. Narrow streets and houses project on our walk, in a village that exudes culture.

With our guides the pupils and students of the Filoti Elementary School, we walk in this living village of Naxos, the largest of the Cyclades. Children talk about the care and security they feel in their place, while proudly bring us in touch with their past, through restored workshops and workplaces of the old market on the bean.

High quality Naxian emerald is one of the most important Greek minerals, while the island’s mines between Apeiranthos and Koronos are unique in Europe. People who worked there, in the galleries, talk about the experience and history of a wealth source that has “lived” many villages for many decades.

With global titles in his palmar, the Greek -German Windsurfer Lenart Noibauer has made Naxos … home. He travels, distinguishes, spits waves and the air with his board and cloth and always returns to the island that nurtured him and loved. The conversation with him is enjoyable.

The demand tree in its cultivation is demanding, but generously offers the extract from its leaves for the preparation of a famous local hell, “Naxos Citr”.
