Presenter Eduardo Sanches, known as Edu Guedes, 50, has cancer in the pancreatic and had surgery last Saturday (5) at Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein, in São Paulo. The procedure was performed for the removal of nodules identified during a deeper medical investigation.
The discovery came after the chef and presenter has complications caused by a kidney infection. Edu began to feel bad recently and had to be in a hurry to treat the infection.
During emergency care, he was subjected to more than one surgical intervention because of the impairment of the kidneys. It was in this process that doctors identified changes in the pancreas.
According to the calculation of F5more detailed examinations pointed to the presence of a malignant nodule, which led to the conduct of cancer surgery. There is still no official information about the stage of the disease or the treatment plan from now on.
Edu Guedes is known to the public for commanding cooking programs on broadcasters such as Record and Band. Currently, he is married to host Ana Hickmann, with whom he took over the relationship at the end of 2023.
