With the release of “Jurassic World: Shortcut”, Scarlett Johansson, 40, won a historic milestone: he became the biggest box office actress in Hollywood history. The feat was confirmed by The Numbers Specialized, which adds the world’s collection of all the films starring the big names in the film industry.

Johansson surpassed heavy names such as Samuel L. Jackson and Robert Downey Jr., his colleagues from Marvel’s film universe, after the world’s new dinosaur franchise feature, which raised an impressive $ 322.6 million (about $ 1.7 billion) in the first six days, according to the box office.

The actress, who gave life to the black widow, now occupies the top of the ranking with an accumulated box office that takes into account 36 movies – but less than Jackson’s 71 and Downey’s 45. Still, its largest numbers come from the Avengers franchise, responsible for the four most lucrative films of his career, says The Numbers.

The new Jurassic World, directed by Gareth Edwards and scripted by David Koepp, brings Johansson as a former military agent sent to an abandoned installation of the former Jurassic Park. The cast also features Jonathan Bailey, Mahershala Ali, Rupert Friend, Ed Skrein and many dinosaurs generated by special effects – with the production signed by none other than Steven Spielberg.

In a recent interview with People magazine, Johansson talked about the thrill of participating in a franchise that marked his childhood. “It’s surreal. I was a fan of Jurassic movies as a child. I hope other ten -year -olds have the same magic experience I had to watch the first movie in the cinema. It makes you dream.”

The impact of “Jurassic World: Fresh start” also boosted Johansson’s visibility in other recent projects. In Wes Anderson’s The Phoenician Scheme, she played the eccentric cousin Hilda, a role she kept her on the rise between critics and audiences. And it comes more: the actress debuts in the direction with Eleanor, the great, starring June Squibb. The film was aired in May at the Cannes Film Festival and marks a new chapter in his career.

Behind Johansson in the ranking of the biggest box office are Zoe Saldaña, Avatar and Guardians of the Galaxy, and Chris Pratt, who also operates in the Jurassic World franchise. Samuel L. Jackson and Robert Downey Jr. are on the podium, now surpassed by Johansson.
