1. Gomati
It is one of the most unique beaches in Lemnos. It is located on the northern coast of the island and hosts the largest area of sand in Greece (70 acres) with a landscape reminiscent of Sahara in some places. Gomati does not have much people, it has shallow water and comfortable beaches, but also many picturesque taverns. When it blows wind, you can make a kite-surf or if you are looking for something different, you can combine the bathroom with a visit to the nearby sand dunes for sand boarding on impressive dunes. Next to the beach are the wetland of Alyki and the village of Kalliopi, which is worth visiting.
3. Virgin
If you are looking for a secluded beach with wild beauty, then the virgin is the perfect place for you. It is very close to Moudros, but has difficult access and is affected by the north winds. There you can relax, become one with nature and enjoy the natural landscape, as there are no facilities or other activities and human interventions. So going there you have to be properly prepared and fitted with the essentials. An alternative nearby beach is Havouli, located in a protected wind -protected bay, with fine white sand, blue waters and natural shade of tamarisk, but also has an organized side.

Evgati beach, also known as Negati, is full of vibrant and usually preferred by families. Do not worry, however, as it is one of the largest beaches of Lemnos, so you can choose to sit in the most secluded spots and enjoy the white sand and the shallow waters with more calm waters. Evgati beach is awarded with a blue flag, offers many Water Sports options, plenty of amenities, a sea ramp and several taverns for dining.
5. Wide
At the end of this list we find the beach of Plati, located in southwestern Lemnos, next to the homonymous village. It has a 700 -meter area and has fine, golden sand, and is popular for its shallow waters, water sports, beach bars and easy access from Myrina (just 2 kilometers away). On Platy you will find a natural shade under scattered hairdressers there and, if you are hungry after swimming, you can sit for food in one of the many nearby taverns. The beach has a blue flag and is one of the first choices of the island’s visitors.
