O Harrison Fordwho has played some of the most iconic characters in the seventh art, such as Indiana Jones and Han Solo, wins his first nomination for Emmy. The actor is the second older candidate in the category of second male role in comedy, after Alan Arkin, who in 2020, at the age of 86, won a nomination for Netflix’s “Kominsky Method” series.

This recognition marks an important moment for Ford, who was particularly ignored in the first season of “Shrinking”, despite the many praises for his interpretation as Dr. Paul Rhodes, a steep but adorable therapist and consultant. So far, his only nomination for an important prize was an Oscar nomination for the 1985 “Witness” thriller, according to Variety.

The series, created by Brett Goldstein, Jason Siegel and Bill Lawrence, returned for a second season this year, collecting positive critics and audiences. The series won a total of four nominations for Emmy, including a comic first role in a comic role for Jason Siegel, a female role in a comic series for Jessica Williams and for a better comedy series.
