With intermediate stations in Amsterdam, Brussels, Kalamata, Santarcadelo Di Romania, Tallinn, Talligen and Chania, the Roof opens new meeting roads and builds communities at international festivals and art platforms.

Festival d ‘Avignon, Grec Festival in Barcelona, Julidans Festival in Amsterdam: With subversive spirit and passion, Greek artists are making new boundaries, redefining contemporary expression, chatting equally with the world cultural map. With a Greek identity and a global look, the modern generation is experimenting, revolting and inspiring. Greek artists travel to Greece and abroad, while the international community enthusiastically embraces their artistic proposals.

And this summer, as has been the case for the last 14 years with the productions of the roof, the international public and Greek artists are tuing at the same rhythm. Since 2011, more than 100 productions and co -productions of theater, dance and music have given over 1,000 performances in 56 countries and over 200 cities around the world. The protection and support of artists are at the core of the Onassis Foundation. The mission of the Roof, through the “Onassis Stegi Touring Program” program, is to enhance the presence and prestige of artists on every end of the earth and, at the same time, to build innovative networks, which are closely intertwined with the web of the international scene, with artists and artists.

Mario Banushi’s Mami, produced by the Onassis Foundation, which premiered on February 6th on its central stage, was presented on July 13, 14 and 16-18 at the Avignon Festival. This is a historic moment: this is the first time that director of Albanian descent has been presenting his work at the France and Europe Festival. At the same time, it marks the fourth involvement of the roof in this great event, following the circle of Dimitris Dimitriadis’ square directed by Dimitris Karantzas (2014), 6 Am How to Disappear Completely of Blitz Theater Group (2016) and 2016.

The show was a huge success, receiving rave reviews from the French press, while the public was desperately looking for tickets, as Mami evolved into one of the important cultural events of the festival. Télérama called it “a fascinating, immersive performance – revelation of the Festival”, Libération said that “Mario Banushi’s Theater of Images operates on stage with the visibility of a Botticelli, taken as a dream of Chagall”, Artistik Rezo noted: ” Monde called it “valuable discovery of this festival”.

After Avignon, Mami will continue its brilliant international tour, stopping at top theaters and organizations in Europe, with subsequent stations at the GREC Festival in Barcelona, on July 22 and 23, the Noorderzon Festival in Chroningen, the Netherlands, on August 14th to August 16th at August 16, August 16, August 16th. The project is involved with the support of the Onassis Stegi Touring Program under the Prospero New Platform, co -funded by the European Union’s “Creative Europe” program. My Fierce Ignorant Step, Larsen C & Mellowing in international scenes

Award -winning choreographer Christos Papadopoulos continues his successful international career, constantly building a strong presence in the great scenes of the world. My Fierce Ignorant Step, the optimistic, extroverted, enchanting work for our passionate authorities, which premiered at the Central Stage of the Roof in May 2025, was the opening performance of the top festival of Contemporary Dance Julidans Festival at Amsterdam and July 2 and Amsterd Festival of Barcelona. The comments of the press and the audience at both stations were bittersweet, talking about the Greek choreographer with “a huge poetic dynamic, which allows us to be linked to a sense of vibrancy that can only be compared to his own experience of dancing”, while at the same time saying that Papadopoulos “Papadopoulos”.

A few days later, Christos Papadopoulos returned to Greece to present Mellowing’s work at the Kalamata International Dance Festival on July 18 and 19. A choreographic work he created two years ago with Dance On Ensemble dancers in co -production of the roof through the European Dopodo program, co -funded by the European Union.

My Fierce Ignorant Step will make many stops in international destinations, such as the Romaeuropa Festival in Rome (14-16.11), Fondazione I Teatri at Reggio Emilia (19.11), Festival de Otoño in Madrid (21-22.11), December Dance (3.12) And there will be many other stations to be announced. Hara Kotsali travels with two projects in Europe and Latin America

One year after Ioanna Paraskevopoulou’s journey with “MOS” in the heart of Colombia, Hara Kotsali takes the bat. On July 4 and 5, her ritual project To Be Possessed was presented at Centro Nacional de Las Artes Delia Zapata Olivella in Bogota, as part of the collaboration of the Onassis Stegi Touring Program with the international organization. The anniversary presence of Greek choreographers in Colombia continues, with Greek creation talking live with the Latin American audience.

From Bogota she will return to Greece to present her new choreographic work, It’s The End of the Amusement Phase, the Dance Days Festival in Chania on July 22. The project, which premiered on the Onassis Dance Days 2025, will attempt a new dance marathon for the doubtful relationship of the individual and collective body with history.

The end of the summer will find it with the work to be possessed in its luggage, mapping ways in which the body is occupied, resists and connects. On August 23, the project travels to Brussels, at the Perpetuum Mobile Dance Festival, adding yet another station to the artistic map of the roof.

A year after its world premiere on the Roof, Xenia Kogchinlakis’ slamming continues his journey to the scenes of Europe. From July 4 to July 6, it was presented at the Santarcangelo Festival in Italy, one of Europe’s most important festivals of contemporary performances. On July 25, the project returns to Greece, at the Kalamata International Dance Festival, to meet the Greek public again. From there he will travel on August 21 and 22 to Tallinn, Estonia, to Saal Biennaal, an organization with which the roof cooperates for the first time. A meeting on the common exploration of “we”, where opposing forces coexist and reveal the complexity and raw substance of coexistence through modern choreography.

Christiana Kosiaris in Residency in New York

Christiana Kosiaris has been involved in the Watermill Center in New York since July 5, as part of a residency for the evolution of her artistic creation. The Greek choreographer utilizes her stay at the Watermill Center to design the research and the early stages of her new work, which will have space and time for growth in the following season 2025/2026, under the Onassis Air.
