With a ceremony at Kosovo Town Hall, World Pop Star Dua Lipa took the Kosovo citizenship yesterday for her contribution to the culture of her “country”.

The famous singer was welcomed by Kosovo President Bjisa Osmani, while children dressed in white, prolonged on the stairs of the Town Hall, were singing great successes such as Levitating.

Indeed, Osmani uploaded to social media videos from today’s ceremony, writing in the caption: “Our pride, our voice in the world, the Kosovo diamond – welcome back home, @Dualipa”

Kosovo’s president even described Dua Lipa as “one of the most emblematic cultural figures in our country’s history”.

In 2022 Fat also received Albanian citizenship to promote the country through its music and reputation.

The 29-year-old pop star was born in London to Kosovo-Albanian parents.

In her 11 years but she lived for a while in the Kosovo capital, Pristina, when her parents returned after Kosovo’s independence in 2008.
