Lindsay Lohan vents on media persecution in the 2000s: ‘It was terrifying’

by

Back in theaters in the feature “a crazy Friday,” a continuation of the classic “very crazy Friday” (2003), alongside Jamie Lee Curtis, Lindsay Lohan, 39, recalled the difficult times she lived when she was one of Hollywood’s most targeted stars in the 2000s.

In an interview with The Sunday Times, the actress described that period as “terrifying” and said she still suffers the consequences of extreme exposure. “I don’t want my family to go through what I lived. Being pursued by paparazzi was scary and I have posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). They were extremely invasive situations. Very frightening. And I pray that it never happens again. It’s not fair, it’s not fair,” he said.

Lindsay pointed out that celebrities currently have more autonomy thanks to social networks. “Today is different. When I was younger, it was much worse. Now people can tell their own stories in their profiles. They have resumed property over their lives,” he said. “What I learned over time was separating my private life from public – and it was difficult, because no one teaches how to do it.”

Married to financier Bader Shammas and the most reclined media, the actress still appealed to fans: “I prefer someone just ask if you can take a picture instead of trying to film me hidden.

The new movie, which opens on August 7, marks Lindsay’s reunion with Jamie Lee Curtis more than 20 years after “very crazy Friday,” a success in which they lived a mother and daughter who exchange bodies.
