Presenter Fausto Silva, 75, is hospitalized at Albert Einstein Hospital in São Paulo since last Tuesday (5). The information was confirmed by the hospital. The cause of the hospitalization, however, was not revealed by the institution or family members sought by the F5.
Due to hospitalization, João Guilherme Silva, heir of the presenter, decided to cancel a party that was scheduled for this Thursday (7). He would celebrate the debut of João’s program at SBT, scheduled to take place Saturday (9). The presenter informed the guests that the event should take place on August 20, for “personal motives”.
Faustão faces a recent history of health complications. In August 2023, he underwent a heart transplant after heart failure. Months later, in February 2024, he underwent a kidney transplant as a result of the aggravation of a chronic renal condition.
Since then, he has followed treatment under constant medical follow -up. He even held hemodialysis sessions until his clinical condition allowed the adoption of another protocol.
In early 2025, he was hospitalized again due to an infection, but was high days later and followed treatment at home.
