Rapper Sean Kingston, 35, was sentenced to three and a half years in arrest for electronic fraud, in a lawsuit that also involves his mother, Janice Turner, in southern Florida, United States. The $ 1 million blow, about R $ 5.4 million, consisted of the acquisition of luxury assets without payment.
Sean and Janice were considered guilty in a lawsuit started in March this year. While the rapper’s mother had already been sentenced to five years in prison and 3 years in parole in July, the artist’s penalty, whose real name is Kisean Anderson, was recently announced.
According to CBS News, for federal promoters, mother and son orchestrated a scheme to get luxury items such as SUVs, jewelry, expensive watches and even a TV size, without paying for the products.
To try to cover up fraud, Turner and Kingston presented false electronic transfer receipts, claiming that payments had been made, but investigations confirmed that there was no discharge for purchases.
Known for the hit “Beautiful Girls”, “Me Love” and “Beat It”, Sean Kingston and his mother had already been arrested in May 2024 on charges of theft after a Swat operation in his Florida mansion.
