Cíntia Abravanel, daughter of Silvio Santos (1930-2024) used social networks this Sunday (17) to remember the first year of the presenter’s death. In Instagram Stories, she shared a photo of her father published by a fan page and wrote about the family’s longing.
“Today, August 17, a year ago you are gone, and I confess that I’m very sad. I feel a great pain in my heart when thinking you are no longer here with me. But I’m also sure you are in the best place, next to our father,” the SBT founder’s firstborn.
Silvio’s grandson, Tiago Abravanel, also talked about the mourning in an interview with the magazine. According to him, the absence of his grandfather still causes strangeness: “Sometimes it falls to the record that he is no longer here. As our life was not so close and did not live every day, sometimes I forget that he is no longer here. It gives me a bug in the head.”
Tiago also highlighted his mother’s strength in the face of loss. “My mother, who was much closer to him, dealt with the match in a very mature way. I was impressed. Of course it was not easy, but the way she has dealt with it makes me take my hat. She is very strong and resilient. I’m very proud of the mother I have and see her strength,” he said.
