Unidos da Tijuca announced on Thursday that Mileide Mihaile, 36, will be the new drum queen of the school 2026. The influencer assumes the post that was vacant since Lexa’s departure, who has not paraded this year after her daughter’s early death, Sofia.
Visiting the association shed, Mileide recorded a video celebrating the choice: “Hello, Tijucana Nation. Me, Mileide Mihaile, your queen, I’m too happy, very honored and anxious to find them. A big kiss and soon we will find ourselves. If it depends on me, this carnival is ours.”
The school highlighted the expectation around the announcement: from the new queen “since the last parade, a scenario of great anxiety was created among our components, fans and the world of samba, as to the name that would debut ahead of our drums in the next carnival. From this date, our community can officially celebrate the arrival of their majesty.”
In a note, Unidos da Tijuca described Mileide as a figure already recognized at Carnival and stressed his connection with the party: “The influencer and businesswoman, dear in the carnival, dresses in gold and peacock blue to reign in front of the pure battery. Be welcome, queen! That is a long, exciting and victorious reign.”
After acting as a muse of Grande Rio for several years, Mileide will make her debut as a drum queen. In 2026, Unidos da Tijuca will bring to the Marquis of SapucaĆ a plot in honor of writer Carolina Maria de Jesus.
