Rapper Kid Cudi, 41, opened upon his marijuana addiction in his newly published memories book, “Cudi: The Memoir”.

In an interview with People magazine to promote his book, the artist said he smoked about 15 marijuana cigarettes every day and that the herb “dominated his life.”

“I was in a place of abuse,” says the musician, born Scott Mescudi. “I was really abusing. I was smoking maybe 15 based a day, woke up in the morning and was already stoned. It really dominated my life.”

In November last year, he hospitalized in a rehab clinic and spent two months away from the herb.

“And now I only use it at night or on weekends when I have free time and I’m just relaxing. I’m not smoking even close to the amount of marijuana I smoked before,” says the rapper.

“A based lasts me all day, practically. So my relationship with that has changed significantly. And I’m more interested in being sober and being more present,” he adds.

Cudi, who sings about a “lone stoned” in his 2008 successful single “Day ‘N’ Nite,” says he has seen positive changes in his life since he has re -examined his relationship with Cannabis.

The singer, who participated in the films “How to Make It In America”, “Don’t Look Up” and “Happy Gilmore 2”, said he was “completely stoned” in many of his screens appearances. Now he has noticed a change by being “completely sober” on the set of his new movie.

“It’s not like it hurt me in some way, because I smoked so much that I didn’t really get stoned. So people saw me act for years and love my performance. They love the work I did, but it’s something different when you’re sober in set and you can feel the emotions,” he says. “In this movie, I cried several times and it was easy to get there.”
