Two young Greek pianists from Santorini, 18 -year -old Evelina Mande and Angelina’s 13 -year -old sister, excelled in the US as they crowned the winners of the International Piano Competition held on August 17th in the famous and spectacular Architecture.
The program was distinguished by a polyphonic work by JS Bach, where Angelina highlighted the clarity and spirituality of his music.
The atmosphere of JS Bach’s thoughtful clarity was succeeded by the emotional impetus of the Moment Musicaux Op.16 No.4 by composer Sergei Rachmaninoff, performed by Evelina.
The quality and authenticity of the interpretation of the two girls impressed the highest prestigious jury, which also appreciated technical integrity, music intelligence, internal pulse, expressive maturity, and dynamic stage presence – features that have been established in And Europe with critical committees made up of prominent personalities, such as Jacques Rouvier, Jerome Lowenthahal, Meng-Chieh Liu, Hung-Kuan Chen and leading university professors such as Manhattan School of Music, Juilliard School, Curtis Institute of Music, New Music England Concervatory, Eastman School of Music, Yale University, University of Massachusetts-Boston, Chopin University in Warsaw, Mozarteum Salzburg, Gnessin School of Music, Royal Academy, Musikhochschule Cologne and others.
At the age of just 18the Evelina has already conquered 21 gold medals In world piano competitions and 8 special awards of excellent interpretation and technique.

Their current distinction comes as a natural continuation of an impressive international course that includes two appearances at the legendary Carnegie Hall in New York in December 2024 and January 2025, as well as the César Franck Auditorium of Schola Cantorum in Paris in April 205. They received excellent reviews and highlighted their high artistic level at an international audience, confirming their position among the most dynamic rising young artists of the international music scene.
The course of the two young pianists is the guidance of their father and their professor George Tsiantzis, as well as their teacher at the renowned Schola Cantorum in Paris, Agathis Leimon.
Evelina has just begun her university studies at the Piano Performance at the top Manhattan School of Music in New York, with a professor of the famous Olga Kern, one of the most important pianists in the world, who took over her rare talent.
