THE British-American musician, djsinger and producer Mark Ronson released his memoirs with title ‘Night People: How to Be A DJ in’ 90s New York City ‘presenting them with a festive party at a New York club.

As the Oscar -winning creator said, he wrote the book to capture and honor the magical period he started working as a DJ in the city. He emphasized that through his work he wanted to highlight the art of music and his passion for nightclubs in underground clubs. Before he began his collaboration with well -known names such as Lady Gaga, Miley Syre and Bruno Mars, Ronson had already established himself as one of the sought -after DJs of New York.

The book, released by the Grand Central Publishing publishing house, is already under design for the big screen. In an interview with Variety, Mark Ronson revealed that writing the book was a demanding process: “He ate my life … but I had to write it for some reason”. Initially, the title of the book was to be ’93 Til Infinity’inspired by a flagship song of the time, as in 1993 it was the year he started working as a DJ. However, he then chose the title ‘Night People’so as not to borrow the name of an already known band and song.

New York nightlife through ‘Night People’

The summary of the book highlights the magic of nightlife in New York of the past, when the clubs were different, full of shine, mystery and the sense of unpredictable. Every night he offered a intoxicating combination of music, ambition, danger and probability.

The book refers to the creative power that could be developed with two technics and one mixer, in a golden age before the influence of Julian, camera mobile phones and the prevalence of bottles culture in the clubs. At the same time, he describes the path of a teenager who is looking for his way by watching important DJs and creating a community of people living for the night.
