The emblematic comedy of Greek cinema “Wanted Liar” will be broadcast on Thursday, October 16, at 17.45, SKAI bid farewell to the beloved and talented actress Anna Kyriakou.
A graduate of the Drama School of the National Theater and the Charles Dullin School in Paris, Anna Kyriakou started her career at the theater on the side of Marika Kotopouli and soon passed to the cinema. He has worked with leading actors such as Vassilis Logothetidis, Manos Katrakis, Mimis Fotopoulos, Thanassis Vengos and Dinos Iliopoulos.
It was also noteworthy her participation in television series that were particularly loved by the public.
The film “Wanted Liar” is based on the title play by Dimitris Psathas and released in 1961 in theaters, directed by Yiannis Dalianidis.
In this MP Theophilos Ferrekis (Pantelis Zervos) hires Theodore Parla (Dinos Iliopoulos) as his secretary. Known as a “pseudo-Theodore”, he controls Ferrek’s voters, nurturing the hares with rockets. Theodoros’ lies are not slow to become a breeze for Ferrekis, especially when MP’s wife, Jenny Ferrekis (Anna Kyriakou), sets a trap on the pseudo-Theodore, pretending to be in love with him.
