It is an institution that for many decades has gathered a large number of merchants and visitors both from Larissa and from the rest of Thessaly, who go there to have fun, eat meat and halva of excellent quality and shop for clothes at prices much lower than those of the market. The whole city “empties” literally, and the residents make an appointment at the bazaar, for their established walk.

Night falls, the lights come on, the stalls are ready to serve the crowd and the party begins. And we say party, because only this word can fully convey the happy and festive atmosphere that prevails in the city’s bazaar. The voices of the sellers intersect with those of the children, laughter and songs bring people closer and everyone becomes one company, in this Thessalian custom that became a cult. Every year everyone looks forward to the bazaar, even the students who have just come to town and have heard the best about it.

And the truth is that in the bazaar of Larissa you see people of all ages. After all, everyone can find there an activity that will suit them perfectly and will entertain them. Of course, games have their place, but grilled meats are no exception! The smells will whet your appetite, while if you have a sweet tooth, a Farsala halva is all you need to end the day sweetly. Also, well-known singers take the stage and give the pulse to a celebration that is now established and loved by the whole world.
