Britney Spears, 39, is refusing to see her mother, Lynne Spears, 66, even after the matriarch flew from Louisiana to Los Angeles to desperately try to reconcile with her, according to Page Six.
Things are so bad between the two that the star wouldn’t even let her mother into her house shortly before the end of her guardianship on September 29th. The singer had her financial, career and personal life controlled by her father Jamie Spears, 69, for 13 years.
Sources say that Britney blames mother for “ruining” her life with guardianship. She said that a few weeks before the guardianship ended, Lynne flew to Los Angeles to try to reconnect with Britney.
Days later after the judge suspended her guardianship, the singer made a post on social media accusing her mother of having given her father an idea, but later deleted it. “My dad may have started guardianship 13 years ago, but what people don’t know is that my mom was the one who gave him the idea! I’ll never get those years back,” Britney said.
Britney added that her mother secretly ruined her life and also accused Lou Taylor,” the former Spears family spokesperson and former business manager for the artist.
To make matters worse, Lynne asked in court documents obtained by Page Six that Britney’s estate pay her lawyers. She claimed to have hired to “help Britney break free of what she saw as a very controlling existence”.
The petition also stated that lawyers worked “researching and examining qualified medical experts” for Britney in May 2019 and added that they advocated removing Jamie from guardianship.
On Monday (15), Britney wrote on Instagram that she was still “on cloud nine” after being released from her guardianship.
