Today, Tuesday 28 October at 2:40 p.m., the journalistic team of “Where Greece is” is in Kalymnos, Kos and Pserimos. From the studio, Yiannis Tsimitselis coordinates.

At the edge of the Aegean, there is an island inhabited by only one woman. OR Kinaros and Mrs. Riniowho made it her life’s purpose to keep the island alive, as she had promised her father. With the company of her few animals, the sea and the Greek flag flying next to her small house, she continues in a life of endurance and faith. With the army visiting her regularly and offering her all possible help, Kinaros remains inhabited and her only concern now is the future of the island after her.

To the south of it Pserimosis located one of the Guard Posts of the Land Army in the Dodecanese, about 5 nautical miles from Turkey. We arrived as far as the observation post of the Prison, we talked with the soldier observer, the officer and we were in awe of the work that the soldiers and the soldiers are doing in this corner of Greece.

The Single-seat Primary School of Pserimos came back to life after 16 years of being closed. This year he welcomed Taxiarchis and Eleftheria, students of the 1st Primary School, to his desks. Their teacher is Athina Schina, first appointed to Pserimos and originally from Leros. Life for the few, mostly elderly, residents of rural Pserimos is difficult, especially in winter. But these few families who decided to raise their children in freedom and peace, have brought hope that the island will not be deserted.
