Eva Longoria insists she wouldn’t change a thing about her rocky start to her career or her failed marriages as she “loves the path she’s been on”. The 50-year-old actress grew up in Texas and became interested in acting after winning a talent contest that took her to Los Angeles, where she was discovered and taken on by an agent.

After deciding to move to Hollywood in the 1990s with just six dollars in her pocket, the actress struggled to make ends meet and worked as a recruitment consultant for four years to pay the bills.

Eva Longoria got her first TV role on ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’, and another on ‘General Hospital’, before being seen as Isabella Braña on the soap opera ‘The Young and the Restless’.

Four years later, she was cast in the role of Gabrielle Solis in the series “Desperate Housewives”, which made her famous across the country. And despite the fact that she had to endure a difficult period before her great success, she now insists: “I loved my race”as it helps her appreciate where she is today.

In an interview with the newspaper “The Sun” she said: “I loved my fight, I loved it when I moved to Hollywood and had six dollars in my bank account. I like my failures because you grow and learn from them.

I was in a tough competition, going to auditions, working for big American companies and having multiple jobs at the same time. I was struggling to pay my rent, I had student loans and I was going through all of that. However, I wouldn’t change any of it.”he explains.

The actress also claims that she wouldn’t change anything about her love story either, despite the fact that she has been through two divorces. The star of the show “The Only Murders in the Building” she is currently married to José Bastón, with whom she has a seven-year-old son, Santiago. However, she was previously married to ‘General Hospital’ actor Tyler Christopher from 2002 to 2004.

The same year she split from Tyler, the actress met basketball player Tony Parker, got engaged two years later and married in Paris in July 2007. However, in 2010, the actress revealed that she had discovered hundreds of text messages from another woman to Tony on his cellphone.

“I wouldn’t give advice to my younger self. I wouldn’t say, “Don’t marry this man,” or, “Be careful.” I don’t want to correct my mistakes. I love the path I took, with all its faults”he added.
