Singer Murilo Huff, 26, shared on his social networks, this Tuesday (17), a video with his son Léo, the result of his relationship with singer Marília Mendonça (1995–2021), who is about to turn two years old.
“I take care of you, you take care of me,” wrote the artist in the caption. In the record, the son appears running to hug him, and then Leo appears giving water to Huff. In the comments fans and netizens left messages of affection for both.
“Forever with you,” wrote one. “And we’ll take care of you,” completed another fan. “And she takes care of you from above,” said a third fan, speaking of the singer who passed away after a plane crash on November 5th.
Léo will have shared custody between his father, Murilo Huff, and his grandmother, Ruth Moreira, Marília’s mother. In a statement, the singer’s press office says that the decision was very calm and that there was no other option to consider.
The text also says that Ruth asks that “intrigues and quarrels not be created where they do not exist”. “We are sure that would be my daughter’s will,” Ruth said. “God in His infinite wisdom gave Leo a righteous father, for whom I have deep respect.”
Murilo Huff agreed. “My son will have everyone’s love, and it never even crossed our minds that he was different,” he said. “Marília can be at peace, because we’ll be here to protect our boy.”
TRAGEDY
Known as the queen of suffering and one of the greatest voices in contemporary Brazilian music, Marília Mendonça was one of five victims of a plane accident that fell into a mountain range in Piedade de Caratinga, 309 kilometers from Belo Horizonte. The artist had a concert scheduled for the date in Caratinga, about ten kilometers from the accident site.
The fall occurred around 15:00. At first, it was not known if it was the singer who was on board the aircraft. It was the twin-engine resemblance seen in a video she’d shared on Instagram two hours earlier that sparked the doubt. In a comical tone, the publication showed Mendonça embarking and eating.
In addition to Marília, Henrique Ribeiro, her producer, and Abicieli Silveira Dias Filho, her uncle and advisor, also died in the plane crash, as well as pilot Geraldo Martins de Medeiros and co-pilot Tarcísio Pessoa Viana.
