Miá Mello, 41, did not lose her good mood when she reported on social media that her 13-year-old daughter received a message from a scammer. The comedian warned followers about how the approach was.
“Guys, I want to share it with you here. We are very happy! My 13-year-old daughter was invited to be the manager of Amazon!”, he said. “Manager, guys, THIRTEEN YEARS OLD! We are very happy and excited here. Let’s just click here to understand all the details and I’ll be back soon with more.”
Soon after, she published an image showing the proposal received by her daughter, who promised a salary of more than R$ 5 thousand monthly. “Hello, I’m a project manager at Amazon and I’m currently hiring a part-time team,” the text read. “Monthly Salary: 5000+”
Miá still corrected herself, still making fun of the situation. “Oh, guys, I was wrong,” she said. It’s not to be a manager, but it’s for the team of this cute manager who sent her this SMS. I’m still very proud!”
In the sequence, she explained: “Guys, it was a scam!!!”. Even so, she continued the joke. “I’m really pissed, I already gave the Amazon manager’s phone number to my lawyers and as soon as they click and understand that it’s this individual who has the audacity to play with a family’s feelings, he’s going to pay for it.”
It is worth mentioning that messages with the same content have been frequent in Brazilian messaging applications. There are variations on the hiring company and on the salary amount, but they are all scams.
