After negative repercussions, Gaviões interpreter gives up protest against Bolsonaro

“It’s left for me”, reveals the hairdresser Neandro Ferreira, a day after telling the F5 details about her performance in the Gaviões da Fiel parade, scheduled for this Saturday (23). According to his own words, he would come to the Governors and Generals wing as a “very gay Bolsonaro, giving a lot of attention, very bichíssima”.

That’s where it took. Namely citing the president was not in the school’s plans, which guarantees “not to address political issues” in the parade and, therefore, publicly denied Neandro, in addition to classifying his statements as “misguided”.

Gaviões claims that the character played by the hair designer, contrary to what he had said to the F5 —and practically the entire Brazilian press shortly thereafter—, will be “any fascist ruler”. Nothing to do with Bolsonaro.

Neandro needed to put the branch inside and whoever asks about his character in the plot, started to repeat the speech Bolsonaro free of Gaviões. In this episode, not even the LGBTQIA+ community supported him. “They fell on me, accusing me of encouraging homophobia, imagine that. Soon me,” he says, in a surprised tone.

He then decided that the surprise he had prepared for the school would no longer happen. The banner with “Fora Bolsonaro” that would raise towards the judges and the audience during the parade will no longer be made, much less displayed. Gaviões, guarantees Neandro, did not know that he was planning this protest. “It would be wonderful, but I thought it best to give up. I’ve been beaten a lot already”, he says, resigned.
