After more than two years of a pandemic, Carnival parades returned with full force this Friday (23) with the main samba schools in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo crossing their avenues. Among percussions, floats and muses, the drum queens were once again the highlight of the groups.

In Rio de Janeiro, well-known artists were present at the coveted post. Iza was the first to pass by Marquês da Sapucaí on this first day of the Grupo Especial parade, representing the Empress. Then came Viviane Araújo, pregnant with her first child, in Salgueiro; and Érika Januza, at Viradouro.

“Now it’s real, but I’m still calm (laughs). I’m very happy, very anxious, and at the same time I know it will go by very quickly and that’s why I want to enjoy every second. is the muse of Camarote Mar. “The most beautiful and lively on the avenue”, according to her.

In São Paulo, among the drum queens are the dancer of Programa do Ratinho (SBT) Cintia Mello, at Acadêmicos do Tucuruvi; the newcomer Maisa Magalhães at Colorados do Brás, and Duda Serdan, drum princess from Mancha Verde, who exceptionally came as queen in place of Viviane Araújo, who was unable to attend because she was also at Salgueiro.
