Former BBB João Luiz parades in SP and says that election is ‘a chance to reverse things’

Former BBBs João Luiz Pedrosa and Lucas Koka Penteado were hugged again in the hall of the Holiday Inn hotel, in São Paulo, on Saturday night (23). The space is located a few meters from the Anhembi Sambadrome, where the samba school parades take place.

“This one cooks well, see?”, said Lucas Koka, laughing, as he approached and surprised João Luiz. Lucas’ family is one of the founders of Vai-Vai, a school he has been running for since 2012. On Saturday night, he was accompanied by his mother, Andrea Penteado.

“Finding João is always wonderful. This boy has fantastic energy, he taught me a lot”, he said about his confinement colleague in the 2021 edition of Globo’s reality show. Lucas asked to leave the program after a series of frictions with other participants.

“These were the lightest scoldings I had on the program. Sincere, worried about the [minha] evolution”, he continued when talking about living with his colleague in confinement.

The hotel lobby was filled with costumed revelers getting ready for the parades. The former BBBs took pictures with fans, but the meeting was brief: “I have to go, guys, my school is about to parade”, said Lucas.

“Wait, my earring fell off,” said João, laughing. It debuted on the avenue on Friday night (22) through Beija-Flor, in Rio, and parades through Mocidade Alegre, the third school to pass through the avenue in São Paulo this Saturday. “It’s surreal to see everything happening again. It’s really good, really good”, he celebrated.

This year, he released his first book, “Como essa Calopsita Veio Parar no Brasil?” (HarperCollins publisher). In the book, he explains how geography, a subject he taught from 2016 to 2020, is present in everyday life, in addition to highlighting the importance of education in Brazil.

To the column, he stated that he is “designing a second book, perhaps a children’s work. “I like writing for children,” he said.

In the networks, João does not hide his position against President Jair Bolsonaro (PL). “Those who follow me know. Those who don’t follow me are also good to know. I think the election is one of the most important moments of this year, we have the possibility of reversing a lot”.
