BBB 22: Dispute between Arthur, DG and PA breaks record for votes in a final

by

In the final of Big Brother Brasil 22 (Globo), it was Arthur Aguiar who came out on top. Brother received 68.96% of the votes, while Paulo André and Douglas Silva took 29.91% and 1.13% of the votes, respectively.

The contest between the three, however, was the biggest in the show’s history in terms of number of votes in a final, with 751,366,679 votes. The number surpassed that of the BBB 21 final, which ranked first with 633,284,707 votes.

This Tuesday’s vote (26) was also the second largest in the history of reality. It only loses to the Paredão between Manu Gavassi, Felipe Prior and Mari Gonzalez in the BBB 20, which reached the mark of 1.5 billion votes and entered the Guinness World Records.

In the third year in which celebrities participate as guests of the reality, this was the first final in which there are only men and members of the Camarote. The number of men and women winners of the reality show were also equal.

During the last episode, the house had shows by Paulo Ricardo, Xamã, Matheus and Kauan, Jão and Léo Santana. The former sisters Naiara Azevedo, Linn da Quebrada and Maria also performed.

The night even had a breach of protocol, when presenter Tadeu Schmidt got emotional and ran to hug the finalists on the lawn.
