With a single representation of the Hellenic Cinema Center and EKOME the Greek Pavilion at the 75th Cannes Film Festival (17-28 / 5) hosts this year more organizations but also more actions, for the most effective attraction of international producers in Greece.

In the Un Certain Regard section, the international production “Burning Days” with a Greek co-producer, a Greek director of photography and with funding from the minority program of EKK is claiming an award.
Evi Kalogiropoulou’s short film “On the Throne of Xerxes” is claiming an award at the Semaine de la Critique.
It is noted that the singer George Mazonakis participates in the movie “On the throne of Xerxes”. The film “On the throne of Xerxes” is based on the video-art “I belong to me” by E. Kalogiropoulou.
Also, in the context of the Festival Market, the action Thessaloniki Goes to Cannes will take place this year as well, providing opportunities for development in five Greek film projects, four of which have been funded by EKK programs.
Producer Ioanna Bolomyti will participate in the Producers on the Move program of the European Film Promotion (EFP), of which the EKK is a member and which takes place during the Festival.
The film project “The boy with the blue eyes” by Thanasis Neofotistou was selected to be presented in the action Focus CORPO ‘2022 of the Market, which supports young creators who have distinguished themselves with their short films, during their first jump in the feature film.
Producer Romanna Lobacs has been selected in Court Metrage’s NEW PRODUCER’S ROOM training program for short film production.
