“The Court of Miracles” by Iakovos Kampanellisa hymn to the Greek’s endless effort to transcend narrow geographical contexts, shake off perpetual poverty, tackle instability and take root in a place where he can prosper, rises to Thessaloniki Concert Hall from 28 May 2022.
The “Karolos Koun” award-winning director Christos Sougaris and the internationally renowned soloist and composer Stefanos Korkolis, sign a special version of the most emblematic work of the modern Greek theater, the “Court of Miracles”, in the form of a musical, which presents 100 years since the birth of Iakovos Kabanellis – the cultural organization Twilight.
Gerasimos Evangelatos signs the lyrics, Marissa Triantaphyllidou the dramaturgy, Fokas Evangelinos the choreography, the sets and the costumes Eleni Manolopoulou and the lighting Alekos Anastasiou.
Starring: George Gallos, Alexandros Bourdoumis, Katerina Papoutsaki, Roula Pateraki, Manos Vakousis, Kora Karvouni, Maria Diakopanagiotou and the international mezzo soprano Irini Karagianni.
With them are Filareti Komninou and Antonis Kafetzopoulos, while the conductor of a ten-member orchestra on stage, the conductor Anastasios Symeonidis.
On May 28 and 29, Stefanos Korkolis will be on stage on the piano and Savvas Rakintzakis on the other performances.
