An Australian TV presenter said he was “saddened” by a mistake that cost his network an interview with singer Adele.
Matt Doran – from Channel 7 – flew from Sydney to London on November 4 to meet Adele for her only Australian interview for her new album, 30.
During the interview, Doran admitted that he had not heard her new album, with the result that Sony withdrew the video of the interview.
He apologized, claiming he had lost the email with a preview copy of the songs.
“It was an omission, but not a deliberate snobbery,” he told The Australian. “This is the most important email I have ever lost.”
He also denied the information that he was excluded from Channel 7, after his absence from the air.
Australian media reported that Doran’s trip to London with two colleagues was part of a package that cost the network A $ 1 million (500 500,000 · $ 700,000).

It would be a very important interview for Doran, who is presenting a program called Weekend Sunrise.
It is noted that 30 is – Adele’s first album in six years – and was released to the public on Friday.
