After the cold wave of the last week, pharmacies faced a problem of shortage of medicines for nebulization, such as saline, bronchodilators and anti-inflammatories.
The DPSP Group, which brings together the Drogaria São Paulo and Pacheco chains, says that the problem affects the entire sector and stems from an unusual increase in demand since the end of last year.
The chain claims to be seeking additional purchases in the labs and throughout the distribution chain to meet demand.
The RaiaDrogasil group also reports high demand for bronchodilators at the end of last year and at the beginning of this year. According to the company, the market was not prepared for untimely cold waves.
