Germany: Hospitals in the “red” – The vaccinated are the problem, says doctor to SKAI

by

At the razor’s edge are hospitals in Germany. Greek doctors who are fighting the pandemic spoke to SKAI.

“Intensive care units are full, there is no longer a free intensive care unit in Munich and its surroundings, which is why scheduled surgeries or various surgeries that can be scheduled due to the fact that there are no more beds are canceled. “Some patients have been treated even in Italy”, says a Greek general surgeon in Munich.

In fact, due to the outbreak of the coronavirus in the country, Angela Merkel convened an extraordinary meeting.

Speaking to SKAI and Sia Kosioni, the doctor of the Red Cross emergency department in Munich, Christian Kavalt, said that the situation in the ICU is quite difficult, because the patients need several days of hospitalization.

Also, there are no empty beds for people suffering from other diseases. Thus, they transport them to other areas or even abroad.

According to Mr. Cavalt, the problem is the unvaccinated, so stronger measures must be taken in order to be vaccinated.

He pointed out, however, that in Bavaria the booster dose of the vaccine is given at 5 and not at 6 months.
