These are the latest data on the development of the coronavirus pandemic in Greece according to the daily report of the epidemiological surveillance of infection of EODY.

The new laboratory confirmed cases of the disease that were recorded in the last 24 hours by EODY is 4,539.

The death toll rose to 15.

The number of intubated people reached 109.

At 568 the re-infections rose.

The new laboratory-confirmed cases of the disease (individuals) recorded in the last 24 hours were 4,539. The total number of people who became ill amounts to 3,496,807 (daily change + 0.1%), of which 48.7% are men.

The number of possible new infections recorded in the last 24 hours was 568 while since the beginning of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic the total number is estimated at 141,273 (3.9% of the total number of positive results).

The new deaths of patients with COVID-19 are 15, while since the beginning of the epidemic a total of 30,012 deaths have been recorded. 95.6% had underlying disease and / or age 70 years and older.

The number of patients treated by intubation is 109 (61.5% men). Their median age is 69 years. 92.7% have underlying disease and / or age 70 years and older. Among intubated patients, 52 (47.71%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 57 (52.29%) are fully vaccinated. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 4,699 patients have been discharged from the ICU. The admission2 of new COVID-19 patients to the hospitals of the territory is 97 (daily change + 12.79%). The average seven-day admission is 91 patients. The median age of cases is 37 years (range 0.2 to 112 years), while the median age of death is 80 years (range 0.2 to 106 years).
