The State Department of Health of São Paulo announced that it will start next Wednesday (27) the application of the second dose – or fourth booster dose – of the vaccine against Covid-19 for people from 40 years of age in the municipalities of São Paulo.
According to the folder, in the state of São Paulo 5 million people from this new group are able to receive the immunizing agent. But you must have been vaccinated with the third dose for at least four months.
The expansion of reinforcement for those over 40 years old was announced by the Ministry of Health last Monday (20). Some municipalities, which had vaccine stocks, immediately began to immunize the new target audience, such as the ABC cities.

According to the state government, the expansion of the public occurs after the Ministry of Health sends 1.6 million doses of immunizations, which will be distributed to municipalities at the beginning of next week.
The state secretariat says it has requested another 2.5 million vaccines and is awaiting delivery. “As soon as these other immunizers are delivered, the doses will be immediately passed on to the municipalities for the continuity of the campaign.”

According to the federal government, Pfizer, Janssen and Astrazeneca vaccines can be used, regardless of the dose applied previously.
