Tsakris in SKAI: I will not be surprised to exceed 10,000 cases |

by

“I will not be surprised to see more than 10,000 cases,” he said in SKAI and in the show “Unmatched” the professor of Microbiology Athanasios Tsakris, pointing out that we should give more basis to the third dose of the vaccine.

He added that in his opinion the system should enable the six months before for someone who wants and in 4 m 5 months to feel safer by doing the third dose.

“Someone who has taken the third dose is five to ten times less likely to get sick than someone who has taken the two doses and 20 times less likely to get sick than someone who is unvaccinated,” he explained.

According to him, hard indicators are important. “Mortality is high in our country”, Mr. Tsakris also stressed, pointing out that the 5,000 and 6,000 cases we had in the previous days with the deaths we have show that the mortality is high compared to other countries.

“This worries us and not so much the number of cases.”

“The measures announced are an attempt to control,” he said, adding that “a vaccination obligation would have had better results if it had been extended earlier to the public and private sectors.”

“With 70% vaccinated, the lockdown has no place,” he concluded.
