Mônica Bergamo: Einstein is considered the best in Latin America in three specialties by Newsweek

Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein was considered by the American magazine Newsweek the best in Brazil and Latin America in three of its areas of operation. The institution’s gastroenterology, oncology and orthopedics stood out in the ranking of specialties.

Einstein was also recognized in ten of the 11 areas evaluated by the World’s Best Specialized Hospitals 2023 (the best specialized hospitals in the world 2023), as the ranking is called. Among them are cardiology, ranking 32nd, neurosurgery (35th), and cardiac surgery (69th).

The award is based on recommendations made by healthcare professionals, patient surveys and performance indicators spread across four continents. Their results were endorsed by a board of physicians from institutions based in countries such as the United States and Israel.

With this achievement, Einstein appears alongside internationally recognized institutions such as the Charité hospital, in Germany, and Johns Hopkins, in the United States.

Newsweek magazine also listed the Brazilian private hospital as one of the 300 leading medical institutions in innovation in the world. The category takes into account aspects such as the use of telemedicine, artificial intelligence and robotics.

Also candidates for Casa Márcio França (PSB) and Marcos Pontes (PL) attend the event, held by Folha, UOL and TV Cultura. Former Bolsonaro government communications secretary Fabio Wajngarten also visited.
