HYGEIA, announced the renewal of the sponsorship program for the athletes of the Hellenic Olympic Committee for another four years, in the context of a Press Conference held on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, in the Conference Center “N. Louros “by MITERA.
Specifically, the HYGEIA support program includes free coverage of the health needs of all athletes supported by the Hellenic Olympic Committee, with free diagnostic examinations, hospitalization and surgeries. The aim of the program is to strengthen the preparation of athletes for the Olympic Games to be held in Paris in 2024.
It is worth noting that HYGEIA, already in 2018, actively supports the efforts of athletes by covering their health needs free of charge, as a Proud Supporter of the Greek Olympic Team.
Commenting on this initiative, o President and CEO of HYGEIA Mr. Andreas Kartapanis states: «Through the integrated Corporate Responsibility program that we implement, we seek to be firmly by the side of society, not as an observer, but as an integral part of it. The coverage of the health needs of the athletes of the Greek Olympic Committee, who in front of the eyes of the whole world proudly lift Greece high, as they did recently at the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020, is an essential example of our culture that highlights the timeless role of HEALTH. as an active corporate citizen».
For his part President of the Hellenic Olympic Committee, Mr. Spyros Kapralos, stressed: «We are pleased to announce today the continuation of the cooperation of the Greek Olympic Committee with HYGEIA until the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. HYGEIA’s support for the athletes of the Pre-Olympic team for Tokyo was practical and there were many cases when athletes used its excellent services, either for free diagnostic tests, or for hospitalization and surgery. And on this occasion, I would like to convey the thanks of all the members of the team, to you dear President but also to the excellent medical and nursing staff for everything you have done for our athletes».
