Brazil recorded, this Friday (4), 68 deaths from Covid and 2,738 cases of the disease. With this, the country reaches 688,384 lives lost and 34,890,243 infected by Sars-CoV-2 since the beginning of the pandemic.
The moving average of deaths now stands at 36 per day, down 46% from two weeks ago. The moving average of cases is at 3,704 per day — a 30% reduction in the same period.
Acre, Alagoas, Amazonas, AmapĂ¡, EspĂrito Santo, MaranhĂ£o, Mato Grosso and ParaĂba did not record any deaths. In Mato Grosso do Sul and Sergipe, there were no new infections or deaths.
The country’s data, collected until 8 pm, are the result of collaboration between SheetUOL, O Estado de S. Paulo, Extra, O Globo and G1 to gather and publish figures related to the coronavirus pandemic.
The information is collected by the consortium of press vehicles daily with the State Health Departments.
In all, 182,115,588 people received at least the first dose of a vaccine against Covid in Brazil. Adding the single doses of Janssen vaccine, there are 171,586,774 people with both doses or one dose of Janssen vaccine.
Thus, the country already has 84.77% of the population with the 1st dose and 79.87% of Brazilians with two doses or one dose of the Janssen vaccine.
To date, 105,143,505 people have taken the third dose, and 34,976,156 the fourth.
Alagoas, AmapĂ¡, Mato Grosso, Rio de Janeiro and Santa Catarina did not update vaccine data. PiauĂ and Roraima did not update information on cases, deaths and vaccines.
The initiative of the consortium of press vehicles occurred in response to the attitudes of the Jair Bolsonaro (PL) government, which threatened to withhold data, delayed newsletters about the disease and took information from the air, with the interruption of the disclosure of the totals of cases and deaths.
